Washington. D. C. / Berlin. On September 23, 2009 the Department of State issued a travel alert for all U.S. citizens that Al Qaeda has threatened it will conduct terrorist attacks in Germany maybe immediately prior to and following the federal elections on September 27. The travel alert released by the U.S. Department of State will expire on November 11, 2009.

Al Qaeda recently released five video messages during one week specifically warning Germany of attacks. German authorities are taking the threat seriously and have taken measures to enhance the level of security throughout the country.

Al-Qaida spokesman Bekkay Harrach (32) as known as „Al Hafidh Abu Talha – the German“ warned citizens in Germany and believers of the Muslim household of faith on Friday to change their government in the September 27 election, saying they will face a “bad awakening” if they do not, according to two intelligence monitoring services.
Bekkay has called for a withdrawal of the 4.200 German Bundeswehr troops in Afghanistan.

Authorities and different sources in Germany do believe that Bekkay Harrach is a native from Morocco which has been a student in Germany and used to live in the German city of Bonn for a while. He is married to a German wife, called Elizabeth, which converted to the religion as known as the religion of peace and also as known as Islam.

The Al-Qaida spokesman Bekkay Harrach has warned people and his brothers and sisters of the Muslim household of faith „to stay away from all public places in German two weeks after the election.“

„The children will be save and the city of Kiel will remain a peaceful city during the entire time of the conflict in Germany, no matter how long the conflict in Germany will be going on.“, said Mr. Bekkay Harrach.

Al Hafidh Abu Talha says in the video messages that if Germany withdraws from Afghanistan, Al-Qaida will no longer target it.

“If the Germans are inclined now towards peace, then the Mujahideen soldiers deployed to Germany will be inclined towards peace, as well. With the departure of the last German soldier from Afghanistan, the last Mujahideen soldier in Germany will be withdrawn.

It is time for Germany to know that Afghanistan is not the seventeenth province of Germany and that it is not the ‘beer tent’ where to hold the ‘Oktober-Fest (feast)’ throughout the year,” he added.

It is not yet know if the threats on Germany may be a part of retaliation on the September 4th U.S. bombing. Between sixty to ninety Afghan citizen have been killed in an U.S. bombing in the North of Afghanistan. The attack struck a pair of fuel lorries that had been captured by Taliban fighter. According to different source there are reports the death toll included an estimated forty civilians who had gathered to siphon fuel off the tankers.

Most of the bodies of the victims were burned beyond recognition. A Taliban spokesperson has declared: “The tankers had been hijacked as the made their way to refuel U.S. force in the city of Kabul”.

After the bombings on Taliban fighters and citizen of Afghanistan, the peace movement in Germany got quite active. During public polls 69 percent of the citizen in Germany have said that they are against war and for peace. Many German citizen do not support any military action of German troops in Afghanistan. The majority of people it German made a clear statement that they want peace, both in Afghanistan and in Germany.

More than 400 people have filed a report and complaint of crime to the office of the public prosecutor in the German city of Berlin against the responsible commander of the German troops in North of Afghanistan and against the German Minister of Defense after the air strike in September

The United Nations has called on NATO to thoroughly investigate an air strike on two hijacked fuel tankers in Afghanistan, after hearing reports that casualties were killed in the attack.

Deputy UN envoy in Afghanistan, Peter Galbraith said: “I am very concerned by the reports we have seen this morning of casualties among civilians from an air strike against stolen trucks in Aliabad district of Kunduz province.”

The UN says nearly two-thirds of 828 civilians allegedly killed by pro-government forces in Afghanistan’s conflict last year died in air strikes.

The Department of State urges U.S. citizens to maintain good security practices at all times, and to maintain a heightened situational awareness and a low profile. American citizen are advised to monitor news reports and consider the level of security present when visiting public places or choosing hotels, restaurants, and entertainment and recreation venues.

No doubt, as the well known American journalist, broadcast journalist and author Amy Goodman from the daily news hour “Democracy Now!” (www.democracynow.org) has said during an MSNBC interview on television: “There is got to be another answer than war !”.

Amy Goodman has received in November 2008 in the city of Stockholm in Sweden the Right Livelihood Award, which is also known as Alternative Nobel Prize. She is known in many places in the world as a “true voice for peace”.

May people on both sides will listen more closely to her message: “There is got to be another answer than war!”

The children of both sides are in serious danger. No one wants to see the dead bodies of children and women lying in the fields of Afghanistan or in the streets and fields of Germany.

When the bloody circles of the the blood shed of innocent children, women and men which are against war and desire a peaceful life will come to an end?
